Corowa March 2002

Count 'em there's 34 CMP trucks here, some having travelled major distances to be here. Here's a larger (1200 pixels wide) version.
Looks like a vehicle park from WW2, doesn't it. Hugh Thompson's incomprable F30 Ambulance.
in the foreground is the C60L Euan, Paul and I collected on the Friday from some 130 Km away. Recovered C60L on tow behind Euan's C15A - half of the solid bar came adrift when the rivets broke.
Here's the little 'un based on a C15 and bearing the label 34 1/2, but we didn't count it!
Chevrolet C60S tanker
Ford F60S Tanker of the Corowa Fire Brigade heads this row. Chevrolet C15, unfinished F15 and many more...
34 1/2 weellll maybe 1/8th!
Father Hugh Thompson looks on as his daughter Jan records the scene. Euan and Paul left; Hugh and Barbara Thompson right.
From left) Mike Cecil, Dick Smith, Corowa Mayor Gary Poidevin, Lions Club President Lyn Frederics. These men formed the judging panel to confirm the number of trucks for the record attempt. Page 2....
