|Rudi Vandenbroek's F60S|
Rudi is based in South Australia and has a F60S with an interesting history. I'll let Rudi tell the story:
"The truck was sent out from Canada CKD to Ford Geelong, but had not been assembled when the war ended. It sat in its crate until 1946 when Ken ("Nobby") Clark and his cousin Ern Clark bought it, through Eclipse Motors in Adelaide. They paid 600 pounds, which sounds like a lot of money for those days. They ordered it specially with dual wheels, not the army type split rims, and Eclipse Motors had a timber-framed cab built on it for the Clarks. It was used by Nobby & Ern from 1946 continuously until 1991 or 1992, cutting firewood in the hills behind Port Elliot and delivering it to households along the coast from Victor Harbor to Goolwa. It had a PTO operated tipper body, and a PTO operated saw bench. So, the truck never saw military service, never had the split rims, and never had the standard Blitz cab. I have stripped down the front brakes, hope to have it roadworthy in time for the All Ford Day on March 10th (2002)."

|The rims look to be the same as those used in the tipper versions of the CMP. The coachbuilt cab incorporates a higher windscreen (reversed) and what look to be adapted Chevrolet doors.|

|In January 2002 Rudi began adding to the collection with this interesting ex firetruck, a late production F60L which has suffered from years of exposure but still has some interesting features.|
|This is a modified but rare RAAF airfield fire tender.
Most parts seem to be there. Note the demister slits in the cab frame, another late production feature. Left hand seat has almost completely rusted away.
|Here's a 1950s image of a DCA fire tender taken at Essendon, Melbourne's main airport at the time. Although they differ in detail you can see they are substantially similar.|
