 CMP Derrick
Designed as a general purpose crane, the derrick was mounted on both modified conventional and CMP chassis, in this case the C60L which was built for the RAAF with the nomenclature R101.
This example belongs to Hugh Davis in Adelaide. The pictures were taken in August 2006.
This would make an interesting and unusual restoration.
Fortunately this truck has all it's data plates intact. All GM-H delivered CMPs to the RAAF had the moel prefix "R" added to the "WO" or War Office designation.
This page is from the Military Vehicle Field Specification manual and is for the Ford version built for the Army.
